How the comparer works

Most finance tools start with a product and ask whether you fit it. This one starts with your situation and asks which products fit you. Each answer nudges a set of fast funding options up or down:

  • Purpose decides the natural candidates. Equipment points to equipment finance; customers paying late points to invoice finance or a line of credit; an Inland Revenue bill brings an instalment arrangement into the picture.
  • Amount and property decide what's realistic. Unsecured lending typically runs from $5,000 to $500,000 and is sized on turnover; property-secured lending runs from $20,000 to $5,000,000.
  • Credit history and trading time mostly affect unsecured options. Property security is far more forgiving.
  • How you're paid matters for invoice finance (business customers) and merchant cash advances (card takings).
  • Speed removes options that can't meet the deadline. Same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts, $20k to $250k is possible same day with property security, and up to $5m is possible within 24–48 hours — possible, never promised.

Reading your results

Each option shows a fit label, the main reasons it ranked where it did, its biggest trade-off and a short list of what to have ready. Use the shortlist to focus your reading — every option links to a full page — and to have a sharper first conversation with a lender.

Try changing one answer at a time. Moving "How fast?" from today to this week often brings cheaper options into play. Switching property from no to yes usually changes the whole ranking. That's the point: to show you the trade-offs before you commit to one.

What the comparer can't do

It can't see your bank statements, your property's title or your Inland Revenue balance, so it can't tell you what you'll be approved for or what it will cost. It deliberately doesn't use interest rates, because business lending is priced on the individual situation. For a property-specific view, the property borrowing calculator estimates how much equity you have to work with. For the detail behind each head-to-head trade-off, browse the comparison pages.

From shortlist to decision

When you're ready, the quickest way to turn a shortlist into a decision is a short application. It takes about a minute, there's no credit check when you first enquire, your details stay with one specialist instead of being spread across lenders, and a real person calls you to confirm which option genuinely fits. Fill it in as accurately as you can — the same answers you gave here are a great start. Start your application.

No credit check to enquire

Looking at your options leaves your credit file untouched. A credit check only comes up if you decide to go ahead with a specific option.

No spray-and-pray

We don't fire your details at a dozen lenders and hope. One real person reviews your situation and matches it deliberately.

A real person on your file

Someone who knows the fast options reads your enquiry and calls you. Accurate form answers let them point you at the right one first go.

Frequently asked questions

How does the fast funding comparer rank options?

It scores each fast funding option against your answers — what the money is for, how much, whether property is available, your credit position, how long you've traded, how you're paid and how fast you need it. Options that can't realistically meet your deadline or size are pushed down; options that match the shape of your need move up.

Is the result an offer or approval?

No. It's a general, educational shortlist to help you understand which options usually fit a situation like yours. Only a lender's assessment can confirm what's actually available.

Does using the comparer affect my credit?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser and doesn't collect or send your answers. Enquiring with us afterwards doesn't involve a credit check either.

Why doesn't it show interest rates?

Because every business loan is priced on the individual situation. Instead, the comparer explains the trade-offs — speed, security, paperwork and repayment shape — and what to prepare.

What if my top option is one you don't arrange?

That's fine — the comparer is honest about the market. A specialist can talk you through it when you apply, including when an Inland Revenue instalment arrangement or supplier terms make more sense than borrowing.

Can I use it more than once?

Yes. Change any answer and the ranking updates instantly. It's useful to see how the picture changes if, say, you could wait a week instead of needing the money today.
